Manipur is one of the states among the eight sisters of northeast India. Manipur is known as ‘jewel of India’. The state capital is Imphal.

The culture of Manipur is very different and so Manipur has been successful in making a unique identity. Manipur presents a variety of traditions and cultural patterns. The Manipuri classical dance is famous all over and it is very much different from the other classical dances of India.

It is said that it would be difficult to find a Manipuri girl who doesn’t know how to sing and dance.
